Join us on 15 October as Ed Collett from Air New Zealand shares his family story, "Our Journey to a Good Life: Family, Inclusion, and Advocacy in Action".
Ed will talk about his personal connection to the disability community. He is a father to two disabled children (aged 21 with Autism and 19 with Cerebral Palsy). Ed and his wife Abby have navigated the New Zealand health, disability, school, and ORS (Ongoing Resourcing Scheme) systems, and are now starting the journey into adulthood. This journey has influenced him to champion inclusion at Air New Zealand.
There will be opportunities to ask Ed questions at the end of his presentation.
After his presentation, we will hold our Annual General Meeting and share our Impact Report for 2024-25.
We welcome all disabled people, parents, and whānau to attend this free event. It will be hosted in person at Disability Connect and online via Zoom.
Refreshments will be available for those attending in person.

Ed Collett is a Senior Aircraft Programme Manager at Air New Zealand. He also leads Air New Zealand’s Enable Network which supports employees with disabilities, those caring for someone with a disability and champions change within the organisation.
